The palace and park ensemble in Crimea is revealed as a phenomenon of world culture and a unique monument of art of Tauric romanticism. On the basis of many previously unknown archival data, visual materials, the history, visual features, and architectural image of the ensemble have been recreated: the imperial park, the Bolshoi and Maly palaces, the Ericlik mountain dacha, the Church of the Cross and the Ascension, and other construction of the imperial estate. Livadia is presented as a special artistic model of the life of the imperial family of post-reform Russia, a generation of late romanticism fascinated by the phenomenon of mythological images of Tauride.
