The uniqueness of the edition is due to its rarity and rich content: the total number of lithographs depicting items from the Tsarskoye Selo Arsenal is almost 200 lithographs. The illustrations in the catalog are made in the technique of lithography based on the drawings of A.P. Rockstuhl, the engraver is Asselineau. The compiler of this illustrated catalog Florian Antonovich Gilles (1801-1864) was a head of the First Department of the Imperial Hermitage, court librarian and a head of the Tsarskoye Selo Arsenal.
