Description: Short description: In Russian.The original 1914 edition was based on the famous Ostrog Bible, published under the tutelage of Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky and the work of the Russian first-time printer Ivan Fedorov in 1581. The basis of the Ostrog Bible was the Slavic manuscript Bible, prepared on the instructions of Archbishop Gennady of Novgorod in the nineties of the sixteenth century. The work also used a translation of the Book of Esther by the Rev. Maksim Grek, the text of the original Apostle prepared by Ivan Fedorov in 1564, as well as original translations of the Greek texts of the Bible by Aldo Manucchi (1518), the Coplutenian Bible (1514-1517), the Latin Vulgata, and some other sources.
