It also contains the official anthem of St. Petersburg University, authored by Dmitry Stolypin, the elder brother of the Prime Minister of the Russian Empire, Peter Arkadyevich Stolypin, a student of the Faculty of History and Philology at the University. Initially, St. Petersburg University was considered the successor to St. Petersburg University, which was created in 1819 as a result of the renaming and subsequent reorganization of the Main Teacher Training Institute.
