Description: Short description: In Russian (ask us if in doubt).The work was prepared by St. Isaac's Cathedral priest Vasily Ilyich Serafimov with the assistance of the Supervisor of the Cathedral, M.I. Fomin. The proposed description of the Cathedral presupposes the history of its construction, and the attached notes show where all the information about the Cathedral is borrowed from. The text of the book adorns a portrait of architect de Montferand, executed in lithography (lithograph. Semechkin) on the frontyspis. The annex presents four drawings of the Cathedral (St. Isaac's Church under Peter I, the Cathedral designed and started under Catherine II, the Cathedral completed by Paul I, and the present view of the Cathedral), as well as a plan and three photographs of the iconostasis.
