Description: Short description: Nikolai Vasilyevich Alexeev (1894-1934) is a graphic artist. He studied at the Kyiv Art School under F. G. Krychevsky and the Ukrainian Academy of Arts. In 1918-1922 he lived in Kyiv; he was engaged in industrial and book graphics. In 1923 he moved to Leningrad. He continued his education in Vhutein (mid-1920s) under D. I. Mitrokhin. He worked mainly in xylography. He collaborated with the publishing houses GIZ, Academia, Goslizdat.
