The book includes a study of the Great Russian song repertoire, recordings of songs from the peasants of the Voronezh province, articles from periodicals about Pyatnitskys concerts with the peasants, as well as newspaper reviews of the concerts. It is presented in a colorfully illustrated publishers cover, executed in chromolithography technique. The cover title reads: Concerts of M.E. Pyatnitsky with the Peasants. The spine has been renewed, both sides of the publishers cover are duplicated with silver paper; the bottom edge of the title page and the last page are reinforced with a strip of paper.
